Vicksburg police are looking for a black Ford pickup involved in an Oct. 31 hit-and-run in which an 82-year-old woman was injured, deputy police chief Bobby Stewart said.

He said Lucy Davenport was hit by the truck in the parking lot of the Corner Market, 3046 Indiana Ave. about 11:57 a.m. as she was crossing to enter the store. She was taken to Merit Health River Region Medical Center where she was treated and released.

He said witnesses described the truck as a black Ford pickup driven by an older white man, and gave officers a partial description of the truck’s tag. Stewart said anyone with information about the incident can call Vicksburg Police at 601-636-2511.
