A weekly recap of how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football and NFL games played over the weekend:

• Jackson State cornerback Alexander Shaw (Warren Central) assisted on one tackle in a 7-3 upset of Alcorn State. Alcorn wide receiver Tavares Johnson, Jr. (Vicksburg High) caught two passes for 20 yards and had one rushing attempt for five yards.

• Southern Miss offensive lineman Drake Dorbeck (St. Aloysius) started at left tackle in a 66-21 rout of Charlotte.

• Central Arkansas safety Michael Ware (Warren Central) had three total tackles in a 34-0 win over Abilene Christian.

• Delta State cornerback Devontae Wilson (Warren Central) had three solo tackles and three pass breakups in a 45-35 victory over Bowie State in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had two tackles in a 33-8 win over the Oakland Raiders.
