CAR, CD, PLAYER AMONG MISSING ITEMS

An auto theft and an auto burglary were reported to Vicksburg Police over the weekend, said Beverly Prentiss, public information officer.
On Friday, a radio, valued at $300, was reported missing from a 1996 Buick parked in the 1700 block of Clay Street, Prentiss said.
A 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier was reported missing, Saturday from Pemberton Square mall parking lot, she said.
Separately, 75 CDs and a speaker, were reported missing from the 300 block of Overlook Drive, Warren County Sheriff’s Department records show.
On Sunday, a Pioneer CD player, valued at $700, was reported missing from the 300 block of Fisher Ferry Road, records show.
OAK STREET MAN HELD IN HOUSE BURGLARIES
A series of house burglaries led to the arrest of an Oak Street resident this morning, Vicksburg Police officer Beverly Prentiss said.
Johnny Ailes, 19, 2427 Oak St., was arraigned in Vicksburg Municipal Court this morning on two counts of grand larceny, Prentiss said.
He was arrested after two TVs, a CD player, 10-inch woofers, a VCR, a watch, an amplifier, a telephone, a microwave and pool sticks, all valued at $5,400, were reported missing Sunday and this morning from a house in the 400 block of Haas Street, Prentiss said.
COUNTY MAN HELD ON METH CHARGES
A Warren County man was arrested on drug charges, jail records show.
Ronnie Clay Bender, 19, 105 Clear Creek Road, was arrested Thursday by Warren County Sheriff’s deputies.
Bender is facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of precursor chemical, records show.
He was being held in the Warren County Jail this morning.
TEXAN HELD HERE ON DRUG CHARGES
A Texas man was arrested on drug charges after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 20, Vicksburg Police officer Beverly Prentiss said.
James Fanning, 43, 1355 Brown Road, Arlington, was arrested by Lt. Bobby Stewart after a traffic stop on I-20 East at the weight scales, she said.
Fanning was set to be arraigned this morning in Vicksburg Municipal Court on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH RAPING WOMAN
A Warren County man was arrested on charges of rape Saturday night, Chief of Detectives Jay McKenzie said.
Ricky Pennington, 18, 2151 Culkin Road, was arrested after a woman told Sheriff’s deputies that a man at her house forced her to have sex, McKenzie said.
Pennington was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
