BETTY JEAN ENGLAND

Betty Jean England died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center.

She was 58.

A homemaker, Ms. England was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by a son, Demetrious England, and her parents, Evans Brown and Roberta Reed Brown.

Survivors include three grandsons, Kentrel England, DeMarcus England and Sanchez England, all of Atlanta; and other relatives, including Billy Reed and Patricia Shelly, both of Vicksburg; Tommy Reed and Gloria Erves, both of Decatur, Ga.; Regina Brown of Utica; and Cassandra England of Atlanta.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Casey Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

CURAESEE VACHEL MOORE

EDWARDS Curaesee Vachel Moore died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at her home in Los Angeles.

She was 35.

Ms. Moore was survived by seven aunts including Ornary Kirkland and Florence Clinsey Moore, both of Edwards; four uncles, including Chester Moore of Edwards; and two great-aunts, Rosa L. Moore and Katie Hull-Snow, both of Edwards.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Little Zion M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at Little Zion Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. today at Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.

ISAAC MONROE PARSON

Services for Isaac Monroe Parson will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Glenn Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Saturday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and from 1 until the service Sunday at the church.

Mr. Parson died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at ParkView Regional Medical Center.

He was 91.

He was a member and deacon at Cedar Grove M.B. Church. He was self-employed in the logging business and had worked for a number of years at Waterways Experiment Station.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doretha Smith Parson; his parents, the Rev. John T. Parson and Carrie Franklin Parson; three sisters, Lubertha Parson Harris, Estella Parson Burns and Sarah Parson Moore; two brothers, Willie Henry Parson and Elza Parson; and a grandson, Dwight Parson.

He is survived by eight sons, Robert Parson of Baldwin, Mo., Johnnie Parson of Goshen, Ore., and Monroe Parson, Theodore Parson, George Parson, Raymond Parson, Isaac Parson Jr. and Fred Parson, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Jerlean Parson McGee, Ernestine Parson and Josephine Parson Parker, all of Vicksburg; 37 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives including Aurella Smith, Sarah Bell and members of the Burns, Harris, Smith and Bell families, all of Vicksburg.

MARQUETTA SHARNELL TAYLOR

ROLLING FORK Marquetta Sharnell Taylor died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at University Medical Center in Jackson as the result of an automobile accident.

She was 12.

Marquetta was a fifth-grader at South Delta Elementary School.

She is survived by her father, Billy James Cooper; her mother, Lenora Taylor of Rolling Fork; four brothers, Demeperick Taylor of Rolling Fork, Lucas Brown of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Bryan Sherman of Jackson and Lakenderick Cross of North Carolina; and two sisters, Katrice Cooper and Megan Cooper, both of Peoria, Ill.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Ollie M.B. Church in Egremont with the Rev. Willie Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.

TERRANCE RYNEL TAYLOR

ROLLING FORK Terrance Rynel Taylor died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, in Rolling Fork from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was 15.

Terrance was a ninth-grader at South Delta High School.

He is survived by his mother, Henrene Taylor of Rolling Fork; his father, Michael Fergerson of Rolling Fork; three brothers, Michael Sherman and Derric Sherman, both of Rolling Fork, and Jeremiah Taylor of Anguilla; and three sisters, Latasha Taylor and Tatyna Sherman, both of Rolling Fork, and Gelissa Taylor of Anguilla.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Ollie M.B. Church in Egremont with the Rev. Willie Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.

CHARLES WILLIS

ROLLING FORK Charles Willis died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, in Chicago.

He was 76.

Mr. Willis, a former Rolling Fork resident, was retired.

He is survived by two sons, Clarance Willis of South Holland, Ill., and Johnathan Singleton of Chula Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Gloria Scott of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Betty Harris of Carol City, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion M.B. Church in Cary with the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 6 tonight at Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
