Vicksburg police were holding a city man in the Warren County Jail without bond this morning after he was arrested on a voyeurism charge Wednesday night.

Joe Lee Brown, 31, 2905 Oak St., was arrested at 11:22 by Patrolmen Milton Moore, Mike Bryant and Joe Shows, said Beverly Prentiss, community relations officer with the Vicksburg Police Department.

Prentiss said a resident of the 2900 block of Oak Street told police someone had been looking into the bedroom windows of her home.

Moore spotted the man later identified as Brown and was aided in the arrest by the other two officers.

Three people believed to be Mexican nationals were stopped on Interstate 20 Wednesday and found to be without proper federal work permits.

The three were arrested by Vicksburg police officers about 1 p.m. after the vehicle in which they were riding was stopped for a speeding violation in the westbound lanes of I-20 near Washington Street.

The three were identified in booking records at the Warren County Jail as Velasco Cruz, 25; Aracelia Cruz, 18, and Claudia Tecuapa, 31. None gave police an address.

They were being held until they can be turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
