JUNE CAROL CLARK

June Carol Clark died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 66.

Mrs. Clark was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was a volunteer with the Child Abuse Prevention Center and with the Children’s Violence and Drug Prevention Program. She was also active in AARP.

She was secretary of the County Counselor Extension Homemakers Club and a member of the Pallet Pal painting club. She was a member of First Methodist Protestant Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Luther Clark.

Survivors include six sons, Anthony Clark Sr. and Preston Clark, both of Natchez, David Clark, Luther Clark, Jesse Clark and John Clark, all of Vicksburg; a brother, F.J. Glassl of Vicksburg; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Thursday night at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Mississippi, 3530 Manor Drive No. 3, Vicksburg, MS. 39180.

YANCE MARTIN HAWKINS

Yance Martin Hawkins died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at University Medical Center. She was 32.

Ms. Hawkins was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by a son, Talarries Martin; her father, Emmett Martin; her mother, Martha Preacely Martin; and her maternal grandfather, Leyome Preacely.

She is survived by three sons, Denzel Hawkins and Chavez O’Neal, both of Vicksburg, and Timothy Glasco Jr. of Plainsfield, N.J.; three daughters, Ashley Martin, LaQuna Hawkins and Chasity Upshire, all of Vicksburg; her stepfather, James Percy of Vicksburg; two brothers, Dennis Preacely and Bobby Martin, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Yolanda Martin and Denise Fisher, both of Vicksburg; maternal grandmother, Julia Preacely of Vicksburg; nieces, nephews and other relatives, including Frank Milligan of Vicksburg.
