WALKER REYNOLDS SR.

Services for Walker Reynolds Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beech Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. James Buck officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be all day Friday and until 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Reynolds died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Vicksburg Medical Center. He was 98.

He was a native of Jefferson County and a longtime resident of Vicksburg where he farmed. He was a member of Beech Grove M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Reynolds; two sons, Harrison Reynolds and Walker Reynolds Jr.; his parents, sisters and brothers

He is survived by two sons, Willie Reynolds and James Reynolds, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Maggie Hill of Vicksburg; 32 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.

PERCY E. SHINGLER

Percy E. Shingler died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at his home in Bovina. He was 79.

Mr. Shingler was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He was a veteran of World War II serving in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was plant supervisor at Magnolia Mobile Homes for 35 years and retired from R.G. LeTourneau after 15 years. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Thomas Shingler and Bessie Cockrell Shingler; three brothers, Willie Shingler, Percy Thomas Shingler Jr. and Roy Shingler; and two sisters, Ethel Lewis and Lois Sanderford.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Ann Luther of Vicksburg and Teresa L. Beard of Greenville; four sons, Ricky D. Shingler of Vicksburg, David Shingler of Camden, Ark., Donald R. Shingler of Angleton, Texas, and Michael W. Shingler of Pensacola, Fla.; three brothers, Albert Shingler and Ronald Shingler, both of Vicksburg, and Charles Shingler of West Monroe; two sisters, Laura Hester and Martha Redding, both of Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with Roger Creswell, pastor of Berachah Baptist Church, and the Rev. Eugene Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 Thursday night at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Terry Barrentine, Everett Marble, John Beard, Wesley Harris, Jeffie Jackson and Billy White.

Honorary pallbearers will be Luther Barber, Frankie Terry, Billy Ewell, James Keen and Carl Welch.
