“If it wasn’t for foul trouble, we could have done better,” Lady Eagles coach Mitchell Willis said. “We held on when it mattered.”

K.K. Willis fouled out in the third quarter and Jessica Lord came off the bench with nine points.

PCA will play a yet-to-be-determined opponent Friday at 6 p.m. in a Franklin (La.) tournament.

Trey White scored 19 points to lead the Eagles, but it wasn’t enough against former PCA coach Kenny Bizot and his defending state champion Cougars (2-1). Mark Lee led Hillcrest with 14 points.

PCA dropped to 0-4, with two of those losses coming to AAAA teams.

The Eagles will face Huntington at Franklin at 6 p.m. Friday.
