Palmer had been certified to stand trial as an adult after a hearing in Jackson in September, Bond said.

Palmer, Buchanan and McCroy were arrested hours after the Aug. 16 morning robbery attempt at the Mutual branch at Waterways Experiment Station. Ross was arrested the next day.

On that morning, Mutual tellers told police four men showed up 30 minutes before the bank’s 9 a.m. opening time, and the tellers noticed one of the men pull a ski mask over his face. Police were then called.
