City of Vicksburg Street Superintendent Tommy Day, Director Walter Bliss and Street Department employee Monnie Busby look at an overturned welding machine and generator at City Front Friday morning. Patrolman Ronald Dominique said he received the vandalism call at 7:15 a.m. He said it appeared the generator had been dragged off a barge docked at City Front. The Street Department hauled the damaged welding machine and generator away from the City Front for possible repairs. Day said the machine, valued at $3,977, might have to be replaced or it possibly could be repaired. “Right now we don’t know the extent of the damages,” Day said. Police said no arrest was made.
