Kansas City Southern Railway workers replace railroad ties Wednesday morning after they were damaged in a derailment Tuesday. KCS spokesman Doniele Kane said eight cars, including two tanker cars carrying hazardous materials, jumped the tracks around 8:25 a.m. near the bridge at Monroe and Drummond streets. No leaks were reported from either car, she said. Railway employees worked into the night Tuesday to complete replacing some 250 feet of track. The train was en route from Lake Charles, La., to Artesia, Miss. (The Vicksburg Post/MELANIE DUNCAN)
