Johnnie Henderson Sr. died Friday, March 23, 2001, at his home. He was 92.

Mr. Henderson was a retired employee of Houston Brothers Mill. He was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church and the Cool Spring Burial Society.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Bishop; his father, John Henderson; and a granddaughter, Diva Rena Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Oreather Gillum Henderson of Vicksburg; three sons, Johnnie Henderson Jr., Eddie Henderson and David Henderson, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Shirley Thornton of Vicksburg and Thelma Henderson and Oreather Claven, both of Stone Mountain, Ga.; grandchildren and other relatives.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

JAMES HUGH LEWIS

TALLULAH James Hugh “Ray” Lewis died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at his home in Marshall, Texas. He was 58.

Born in Epps, La., Mr. Lewis lived in Tallulah for a number of years and had been a resident of Marshall for eight years. He worked as a heavy-equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Charlie Lewis, and a sister, Mildred Gentry.

Survivors include four brothers, Grady Lewis, Phillip Lewis and Vernon Lewis, all of Marshall, and Kenneth Lewis of Tallulah; four sisters, Frances Rinicker of Tallulah, Charlene Brousard of Sugarland, Texas, Sybil Ashley of Houston, Texas, and Becky Pritchett of Hunter Heights; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

OLIVER WALTON McMAHON

ROLLING FORK Oliver Walton McMahon died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 69.

Mr. McMahon was a native of Jackson and had been a resident of Rolling Fork for a number of years. He retired as owner of Rolling Fork T.V. and Appliance after 40 years of service. He served in the Marine Corps. He was a member of Rolling Fork United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda M. McMahon of Rolling Fork; a son, Larry Walton McMahon of Nettleton; his mother, Elyene F. McMahon of Rolling Fork; two brothers, Junis O. McMahon of West Memphis, Ark., and Thomas Warren McMahon of Farmersville, Texas; and two grandsons, Thomas Walton McMahon of Starkville and Matthew Hicks McMahon of Nettleton.

Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Rolling Fork United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Halford officiating. Burial followed at Mound Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ricky Lee, Jay Cooper, Ward Clements, Doug Moore, Neil Nichols and Robert Martin.

Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Bodie, Laurance Carter, Dooley Lee, Danny Jackson and Mike Collins.

DORA ANN HAMLIN ROBB

RAYMOND Dora Ann Hamlin Robb died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 45.

A native of Fayette, Mrs. Robb graduated from Liddell High School and attended Alcorn State University. She was a member of First Church of Deliverance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Hamlin.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Andrew Robb of Jackson; a daughter, Christy Robb of Jackson; a brother, John L. Hamlin of Lafayette, La.; seven sisters, Lucinda Williams of Chicago, Herlean Hamlin Galloway, Eunice Butler and Marie Byrd, all of Vicksburg, Mary Johnson of Edwards, Cleo Carpenter of Dallas and Murdice Queen Hamlin of Fort Worth; one grandson and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Church of Deliverance in Raymond. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LUCY ALLEN

EDWARDS Lucy Allen died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at her home in Edwards. She was 85.

Mrs. Allen is survived by a niece, Ada Allen Wallace of Edwards.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Mount Moriah M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday at Lakeover Funeral Home in Jackson.
