SOLOMON HENDERSON

Services for Solomon Henderson will be at 1 p.m., today at the chapel of Robbins Funeral Home with the Rev. Booker R. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Lewis Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be all day today at the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Henderson died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at his home. He was 66.

A native of Vicksburg, Mr. Henderson was a barber. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Solomon Henderson Jr. of California; two daughters, Sharon Henderson and Nadine Henderson, both of New Orleans; three sisters, Ethel Lewis of Vicksburg, Lula Mae Sims of Alton, Ill., and Birdette Green of Erie, Pa.; her brother, Loyd Henderson of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren and other relatives.

MATTIE SHERRILL SHELTON

TALLULAH Mattie Sherrill Shelton died Friday, July 13, 2001, at her home in Tallulah. She was 77.

Mrs. Shelton was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and had lived in Tallulah for 55 years. She was a co-owner and operator of Shelton’s Clothing Store in Tallulah and was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd D. Shelton of Tallulah; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank A. and Sherri Shelton of Tallulah; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherrill and Andrew Kelly of Monroe; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Monday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

TERRI LYNN BRUN

JACKSON Terry Lynn Brun died Friday, July 13, 2001, in Jackson. She was 31.

Mrs. Brun, a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, was the daughter of William Robert Belknap and Margaret E. Hambright. She attended Warren Central High School and had been employed with Cappaert Manufactured Housing, Penco Products, Batesville Casket Co. and McDonald’s.

She was a member of Goodrum Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents; two sons, Shawn Clayton Belknap of Vicksburg and Ron Carter Brun of Ocean Springs; a daughter, Ashley Renee Belknap of Vicksburg; a brother, James Howard Blackman of Bogue Chitto; and three sisters, Robbin Ortutay, Kay Cogan and Alicia Hambright, all of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Dr. Ray Spence, pastor of Goodrum Baptist church, officiating.

Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home from 9 a.m., Monday until the hour of the service.
