Beechwood Elementary first-grade teacher Marsha Bridgers guides a plastic cup being pushed through the playground fence by fourth-grader Josh Walker Monday. Looking on our classmates Kersey Young, second from right, and Jamela Archer. Bridgers said first-grade teachers will give a lesson on patriotism this week. “We just want to show pride for our country,” she said.(The Vicksburg Post/MELANIE DUNCAN)
