MARTHA ANN DAVENPORT

LITHONIA, Ga. Services for Martha Ann Davenport will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Second Union Baptist Church in Utica. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 tonight at the funeral home.

Ms. Davenport died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at Rockdale County Hospital in Lithonia, Ga. She was 67.

She was a member of Welcome M.B. Church in Detroit and was employed with Sophie Wright Settlement of Detroit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Betty Davenport; her husband, Clarence Davis; a brother, Egnation Davenport; and a sister, Laura Turner.

She is survived by her son, Vincent Wiggens of Lithonia; a daughter, Jacqueline Wiggens of Detroit; a brother, Jessie Davenport of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Maurice Wiggens of Germany and Ananias Epps of Detroit; nieces; nephews; and other relatives, including members of the Turner, Davenport and Martin families of Vicksburg and Utica.

MONROE PAUL PULLEN

KOSCIUSKO Monroe Paul Pullen died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital. He was 78.

Mr. Pullen was a member of Stone Street VFW Post 1983. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the Army and Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was a former employee of Sheller Globe Sheet Metal Manufacturing.

Survivors include six daughters, Paula Jarrell, Penny Mooney and Jennifer Pullen, all of Kosciusko, Jeanne Dubard of Ethel, Sarah Moffett of Vicksburg and Pattie Rayne of Doniphan, Mo.; one son, Tim Ables of West; two sisters, Pauline Brown of Mount Vernon, Texas, and Mabel McCleod of Selma, Ala.; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Burial will follow at Parkway Cemetery.

JAMES ROBERT SWARTZ

James Robert Swartz died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at his home. He was 76.

Mr. Swartz retired as a dry keel operator from Anderson-Tully Lumber Mill after 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Swartz Sr. and Annie Johnson Swartz; a brother, Dan Swartz Jr.; and a sister, Bertha Tolliver.

He is survived by Lorine King of Vicksburg; four sons, James R. Swartz Jr. of Junction City, Kan., and James E. Swartz, Charles E. Swartz and Willie H. Swartz, all of Vicksburg; two stepsons, Bubba Judge Sr. and Jimmy King, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Dorothy Ware and Vivian Ware, both of Vicksburg; five stepdaughters, Mae Ruth Watson of Maywood, Ill., and Christine Bingham, Jacqueline Boykins, Chondra King and Melva Curry, all of Vicksburg; one brother, Roosevelt Swartz of Chicago; two sisters, Annie B. Adams and Ruby Swartz, both of Chicago; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
