CHARLES W. ALLEN

FORT PIERCE, Fla. Charles W. Allen died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Hospice of the Treasure Coast in Fort Pierce, Fla. He was 67.

Mr. Allen lived in Fort Pierce. He was a member of Zion Hope M.B. Church and was retired from the St. Lucie School System’s Maintenance Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sadie Purnell Allen and Will Allen; his stepfather Robert E. Wilson Sr.; a brother, Sylvester Allen; and a sister, Robbie M. Harper.

Survivors include his wife, Marge Allen of Fort Pierce; two sons, Charles Allen Jr. of Chicago and Edward Collier of Altamonta Spring, Fla.; three daughters, Bridget Stewart of Tallahassee, Fla., and Rhonda Reynolds and Jill Allen, both of Fort Pierce; two brothers, Steve M. Wilson and Robert Wilson Jr., both of Vicksburg; four sisters, Corine Young of St. Louis, Mo., and Barbara J. Appleby, Heavy Cage and Connie Calvin, all of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and other relatives.

Sarah’s Memorial Chapel in Fort Pierce has charge of arrangements.

ROSETTA BETTY BERRY

McBRIDE Services for Rosetta Betty Berry were at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mark M.B. Church in the McBride Community with the Rev. Anthony Berry officiating. Burial followed at St. John Cemetery in Claiborne County under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home of Fayette.

Ms. Berry died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven. She was 30.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Berry Sr.; and one sister, Mary E. “Peggy” Berry.

She is survived by three children, Kierra Deon Burns, Calvin Barnes Jr. and Devin Deshawn Barnes of Union Church; her mother, Irene Wilson Berry of Vicksburg; four sisters, Josephine Freeman of Caseyville, Susie Robertson of McBride, Lillie L. Walker of Vicksburg and Zula Ward of Union Church; three brothers, Elbert Berry Jr. of Union Church, Edward L. Berry of Red Lick and Nathan L. Berry of Russum; and others including members of the Wilson, Berry, Morgan, Dee, Claiborne, Thomas, Wren, Rankin, White, Glass, O’Neal, Fleming, Reed, Shorter and Gibson families in the Port Gibson, Fayette and Natchez areas.

JULIUS EDWARD BOLDING

OAK GROVE Julius Edward Bolding died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. He was 84.

Mr. Bolding was a resident of Oak Grove. He was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and worked as a pipeliner for 34 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hosie and Effie Bolding; a son, Billy Bolding Sr.; a brother, Willie Bolding; and two sisters, Gertrude Lee and Audrey Lee.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice May Bolding of Oak Grove; three daughters, Patricia Taylor of Tallulah and Shirley Key and Martha Warren, both of Oak Grove; a sister, Cassie Vick of Oak Grove; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Linda Chappell and Dr. James Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be M.H. “Snooks” Bedenbender, Michael Martin and Gerald Russell.

GEORGIA HALL

Georgia Hall died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 47.

A domestic worker, Mrs. Hall was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Clark; a sister, Bessie M. Whitaker; and two brothers, Redell Benard and Calvin Benard.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Hall Jr. of Vicksburg; two sons, Albert Howard Jr. and Derrick Howard, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Erica L. Howard-Judge of Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Gail Hall of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Renee Jordan of Rochester, N.Y.; two stepsons, Carl Hall of Syracuse, N.Y., and Field Hall of Jacksonville, Fla.; her mother, Georgia M. Benard of Vicksburg; 12 brothers, Jessie Benard, Mose Benard, Carl Benard, Andrew Benard, George Benard, Alonzo Austin, Fred Clark and Austin Buster Clark, all of Vicksburg, Aaron Benard of Aurora, Ill., Roosevelt Benard of Plano, Texas, Joseph Benard of San Antonio and Henry Clark of Memphis; seven sisters, Leaverne Brent, Nancy Austin, Rebecca Tribble and Lillie Bell Benard, all of Vicksburg, Lenora Pendleton and Eliza Bentivengo, both of Aurora, and Gwen Caruthers; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
