Flashes fall from playoff contention

[1/21/04]The St. Aloysius Flashes saw their playoff hopes shattered Tuesday night with a 9-0 loss at St. Andrew’s. St. Al needed to win the game to clinch a playoff berth, but was shut out for the seventh time this season and will miss the playoffs for a third straight year.

The Lady Flashes, who were already eliminated from playoff contention, also fell to St. Andrew’s, 8-0.

On Friday, St. Al swept Natchez. Bern Ebersole and Marcus Harris each scored a goal as the Flashes scored a 2-1 win. Kristen Amick and Andrea Harrison had goals for the Lady Flashes, who also won 2-1.

St. Al will finish its season Friday when it hosts Forest Hill at 5:30 p.m.
