[7/20/04]Gulfport and Southaven will begin the season at Vicksburg High in a little more than six weeks at the annual Red Carpet Bowl on Aug. 27.

The opening matchups should be a precursor to a season filled with some of the state’s top football programs. The Gators will play Class 4A powers Brookhaven and South Pike, while the Vikings match up against South Pike and McComb.

A home date with Natchez Cathedral highlights St. Aloysius’ schedule, while Porters Chapel will open on Aug. 20 at WCCA.
