Carolyn Dupree Warner Butler

Carolyn Dupree Warner Butler died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at her residence. She was 79.

Born in Lufkin, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ollie and Emma Dupree. Mrs. Butler had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 43 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Butler was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin H. Butler Jr.; three brothers, Buster Dupree, Jimmy Dupree and Charles Dupree; and a sister, Glenda Dupree Kirkland.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Warnock and Kathy Kolb (Tony), all of Vicksburg; a son, Kenny Warner (Bette) of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Josh Warnock, Daniel Warner, Lindsey Kolb Fulton (Trey), Jessi Kolb Pennington (Ricky) and Karl Kolb; three great-grandchildren, Baylen Warnock, Jordyn Fulton and Caleb Fulton; and one sister, Billie Dupree Brister of Baton Rouge.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Buckles, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Warnock, Daniel Warner, Karl Kolb, Mark McCann, Mark Wilson and Ricky Pennington.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kerry Pitts, Doug Stroud, James Hess, Trey Fulton, Dr. Paul Pierce III, Ricky Steed, Jimmy Tuggle, Donnie Lee, Christy Lewis, Wendy King and the staff of Camellia Hospice.
