UTICA — Mrs. Katie Mae Snow Fisher, 74, was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Hinds County to the late Eugene and Sarah (Neal) Snow.

Katie was called home to rest Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Sarah (Neal) Snow; brother, Exsell Snow; father-in-law Louis C. Fisher; brother-in-law Leroy Fisher; and an uncle, Roy Snow.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Sharkey Fisher; six sons, Lawrence C. Taylor (Charlotte), David J. Taylor, Thomas G. Taylor (LaShurn), Kerry L. Taylor (Stephanie), the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher (Michele) and Sharkey W. Fisher (Toni); one daughter, Jannifer K. Banks (Marshall); 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene Snow Jr. (Roberta), Elijah Snow (Renee) and Frank Snow (Mary); four sisters, Vera Allen, Eugenia Washington (Andy), Margaret Scott (Edward) and Willie Dell Butler (Clifton); three uncles; five aunts; a mother-in-law, Virlean Fisher; two brothers-in-law, Lenzy Fisher (Kimberly) and Louis Fisher Jr. (Pamela); five sisters-in-law, Betty Garrett (Larry), Lillian Magee (Gerald), Patricia Burks (Phillip), Debbie Segrest (Dennis) and Beverly Hay (Dean); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Monday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home, and from 6 to 7 p.m. at Greater Zion Traveler M.B. Church in Utica.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church in Vicksburg with the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher officiating. Burial will be at Greater Zion Traveler M.B. Church Cemetery in Utica.
