The engagement of DaQuita Green to Dameon Latroy White, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. July 14, 2012, at Baltes Gym, 1416 Main St. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Green is the daughter of Howard Green Sr. and Julia Mays of Port Gibson. She is the granddaughter of the late Charles Green Sr., Azel Green, the late Walter Mays Sr. and the late Susie Kelly, all of Port Gibson.

Mr. White is the son of the late Rev. LeRoy Wilson and Deneese and Albert Hatchett, all of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Henry White and Hattie Mae White of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Port Gibson High School. She attended Hinds Community College and is pursuing a degree from Post University.

Miss Green is employed with the Vicksburg Warren School District.

The prospective groom attended Warren Central High School and Hinds Community College.

Mr. White is a pipeline employee with Wilbro’s Construction.
