Judges find four guilty in Warren County Circuit Court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Dewanda Lachay Butler, 36, 207 Enchanted Drive, was found guilty of violating rules of a sentence to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a conviction of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to three years’ probation and $2,797.50 in fines and fees. Butler was indicted in October and pleaded guilty in April.

• Brandon D. Harper, 25, 102 Hamilton Place, was found guilty of violating a nonadjudicated sentence for conviction of possession of a stolen firearm and was sentenced by Chaney to one year in prison followed by four years’ probation and $1,822.50 in fines and fees. Harper was indicted in May 2011 and found guilty Sept. 16.

• Maurice Terrell Shy, 26, 2519 Washington St., Apt. C, was found guilty of violating rules of a sentence to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a conviction of third-offense shoplifting and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to five years in prison to include extended alcohol and drug treatment followed by two years’ probation and $1,997.50 in fines and fees. Shy pleaded guilty to a criminal information dated Sept. 16.

• Kendrick Dewayne Valentine, 26, 106 Kelly Circle, was found guilty of violating rules of a sentence to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a conviction of possession of a cocaine and was sentenced by Patrick to eight years in prison and $4,297.50 in fines, fees and restitution. Valentine was indicted in July 2011 and pleaded guilty Sept. 2.
