Betty S. Goodwin died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 73.
Born in Beatrice, Neb., she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1971. Mrs. Goodwin was the daughter of late Plezie Skidmore and Tunis Swain Skidmore. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Tony L. Goodwin; sister, Virginia Wagner; and two brothers, Duane Skidmore and Robert Skidmore.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Lee Goodwin; three daughters, Donna Carpenter of Vicksburg, Angela Goodwin of Vicksburg, and Sherry Knutelski , Rapid City, S.D.; a son, Danny Goodwin of Flora; eight grandchildren; two brothers, James Skidmore of Arlington, Texas, and Larry Skidmore of Dallas, and a sister, Doris Benson of Longview, Texas.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday Feb. 1, 2014, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Abel, pastor of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Yokena Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
