Woman jailed for embezzlement
A Vicksburg woman was free on bail this morning after being arrested for embezzlement Thursday.
At about 1 p.m., Annie Pickering, 71, of Culkin Road, was arrested at her home for stealing over $300,000 from a local construction company, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
Pace said that the company notified the Sheriff’s Department about the incident when an audit conducted by the company showed that Pickering embezzled the company’s money from 2010 to 2013.
Pickering was released on $150,000 bail.
City woman jailed for domestic violence
A Vicksburg woman was in the Warren County Jail this morning for domestic violence.
Angela Carley, 35, of Berryman Road, was accused of simple domestic assault, according to Warren County Jail records.
No bond was set.
Man arrested for burglary
A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning after burglarizing a business Thursday.
At about 5 p.m., Ricky Fultz, 34, of Cumberland Road, was arrested for breaking into a business on Hildegarde Terrace and stealing copper and batteries, said Vicksburg Police Lt. Sandra Williams.
No bond was set.
Man booked on drug, weapon charges
A Vicksburg man accused of possession of cocaine and a firearm is in the Warren County Jail this morning.
At about 8 a.m., Lawrence Ward, 39, of Ethel Street, was arrested in his home Wednesday, said Lt. Williams.
Williams said that the arrest stemmed from a narcotics operation.
His bond was set for $15,000.
Port Gibbson man arrested for drug possession
A Port Gibson man accused of possession of cocaine was in the Warren County Jail this morning.
At about 8 p.m., Dwyane O’Quinn, 46, of Gordan Station Road in Port Gibson, was arrested on U.S. 61 South, said Lt. Williams.
O’Quinn will have his initial appearance in court today, said Lt. Williams.
City man arrested for meth possession
A Vicksburg man is free on bail this morning after being accused of possessing meth Wednesday.
At about 6 p.m., Glenn Goulette, of Warren Street, was arrested for possession of meth after police discovered the drug in his car during a traffic stop near North Frontage Road, said Williams.
He was released on $25,000 bond.
