ROLLING FORK — Lawyer Carter III died Feb. 10, 2014, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. He was 62.

He was a business owner in Cary.

Survivors included his wife, Deborah Williams-Carter of Cary; two sons, Derrick Coleman of Hollandale and Mitch Coleman of Atlanta; two daughters, Akeeia Carter of Carrie and Tameka Tucker of Memphis; a brother, Donald Carter of Cary; three sisters, Dorothy T. Woodard of Chicago, Joyce Norton of Killeen, Texas, and Mary Ann Carter of Lorman; and eight grandchildren.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Mount Zion M.B. Church in Cary with pastor James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell L. Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
