J. H. Sullivan

J.H. “Slim” Sullivan died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 81.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived a number of years in Vicksburg before moving to Ely, Nev. After retiring, he returned and made his home in Vicksburg. He served two tours in the U.S. Army, serving as a sergeant first class.
He was a member of the W.H. Stevens Masonic Lodge, where he was a past Master and a Shriner, and a member of Cross Point Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise C. Sullivan of Vicksburg; daughter, Lisa Palmertree of Vicksburg; stepdaughter, Cynthia Tselepis of Vicksburg; two sons, Jimmy Lee Sullivan of Harding, Minn., and Johnny Sullivan of Vicksburg; three brothers, Ray Sullivan of Philadelphia, Charles Sullivan of Crystal Springs, and H.J. Sullivan of Flora; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial with Masonic services will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
