Chris C. Antoine Jr. died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 86.

Born in Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Chris Charles Antoine Sr. and Josie Loraine Snyder. Mr. Antoine was a retired brick mason general contractor.  He taught masonry at Hinds Vocational College for many years. He was a communicant of St. Michael Catholic Church where he was a charter member.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years , Polly D. Antoine; two daughters, Christy Antoine Middleton (Tommy) of Vicksburg, and Pam Antoine of Vicksburg; two sons, Ricky Antoine (Susan) of Clinton, and Mark D. Antoine (Jane) of Zachary, La.; nine grandchildren, Rebeka Seemann, Kimberly Seemann McLain, David Antoine, James Antoine, Steven Antoine, Alex Antoine, Chris Antoine, Thomas Middleton and Matt Middleton; six great-grandchildren, Elli Brynn Antoine, Kennedi McLain, Henlee Middleton, Preslee Middleton, Ryker Middleton and Taylor Middleton; two brothers,  Malcolm Antoine (Georgia) and Donald Antoine (Betty).

A funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father P. J. Curley, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Riles Funeral Home with a wake service at 6:30 PM.

Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 St. Michael Place, Vicksburg, MS 39180 and to Palmer’s Children’s Home, Post Office Box 747, Columbus, MS 39703.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
