Marjorie Lou Boler died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home in Vicksburg. She was 87.

She was born in Shelbyville, Texas and lived in Vicksburg most of her life. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Boler; son Joseph Pace Jr.; her parents, James E. and Lula Frances Braxton; brothers Luther “Boop” Braxton, Wilford “Bip” Braxton, Lee Braxton, Rennie Lee Braxton; sisters Fannie Mae “Sis” Scarber; and her daughter-in-law, Bobbie Boler.

Survivors include a son, J.W. Boler of Vicksburg; a niece, Judy Sanders of Vicksburg; three grandsons, Dub (Stephanie) Boler, Pace (Melissa) Boler, and Danny (Lauren) Boler; four great grandchildren, Michael Boler, Kayla Boler, Braxton Boler, Grayson Boler; two step great-grandchildren, Sarah Lay and Michael Lay.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday March 10, 2014 at Glenwood Funeral Home, visitation will be from 9:00 am till the hour of service Monday March 10, 2014. Burial will follow at Cedar hill cemetery. Revs. Mickey Bounds and Ron Burch will be officiating the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be George Dwiggins, Billy Brent, Aden Wansley, Michael Boler, Anthony Hearn and Joel Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Williams, Dr. Daniel Edney, Dr. Sam Pierce, Rev. Scott Reiber, Staff at St. Joesph Hospice and Amedysis Home Health.
