A Vicksburg man accused of leading police on a chase was held without bail this morning.

Bryan Morton, 32, who lives on Bernard Drive, was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Mound, La., and charged with felony eluding, Vicksburg police Lt. Sandra Williams said.

Morton fled from police after attempting to sell stolen jewelry at Vicksburg Mall, she said, and officers were able to capture him in Mound.

The stolen jewelry was recovered, Williams said.

Morton was held without bail this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.
