Flashes flawless in win over Pisgah

St. Aloysius rebounded from a rare losing streak with a flawless victory Wednesday against Pisgah.

St. Al didn’t lose a set, and only lost a total of six games in six matches, en route to an easy 6-1 win at Halls Ferry Park.

Pisgah won the mixed doubles point, but the Flashes dominated everywhere else in the lineup.

Aaron Mathis won 6-1, 6-0 in boys singles, Ann Stewart Piazza and Elise Piazza won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 2 girls doubles, and Luke Eckstein and Grayson Parman won 6-0, 6-3 in No. 2 boys doubles.

Alexa Baldizon (girls singles), Michael Foley and Austin Mathis (No. 1 boys doubles) and Kori Vessell and Allie Falls (No. 1 girls doubles) all won their matches 6-0, 6-0.

The victory snapped a two-match losing streak for St. Al. It lost 5-2 to Class 6A Starkville High School last Friday, then 4-3 to division rival Greenville-St. Joe on Tuesday.
