Two jailed in robbery

Two men accused of stealing more than $1,000 Wednesday were in jail this morning.
Joshua Dates, 26, who lives on Hillside Drive, and Cedric Dillard, 32, who lives on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, were arrested Tuesday and charged with strong-arm robbery, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
The men are accused of taking $1,200 from a victim in the 1000 block of First East Street, he said.
Dates and Dillard were held in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility this morning in lieu of $5,000 bail each.

Duo caught in burglary
Two men accused of breaking into a storage shed in February and pawning stolen items were held without bail this morning.
Spencer Griffin, 24, and Ronald Green, 22, who both live on Washington Street, were arrested and charged with burglary and possession of stolen property, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
The two are accused of breaking into a shed in the 600 block of Smedes Street on Feb. 16 and later pawning stolen items, Kimble said.
Griffin and Green were held this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility.
