Willie Neal of Vicksburg died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 97.
He was retired from the City of Vicksburg Water and Gas Department and Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion M.B. Church where he was an usher for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and JoAnna Neal, his wife, Annist Marshall Neal, brothers, Tom Neal, Ben Neal and Clearthur Neal, sisters Helen Neal Rollins, and Irene Neal Clark.
Survivors include his three sons, Ronald Michael Neal and Willie Marshall Neal, both of Zion, Ill., and Adam Leroy Neal of Vicksburg, his 7 daughters Georgia Marshall Kelly of Port Gibson, Wanda Kay Neal of Zion, Ill., Stella Neal Moore of Port Gibson, Deborah Neal McGhee of Saucier, JoAnna Neal Thompson of McKinney, Texas, Cedella Neal and Katrina Neal, both of Port Gibson; 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Greater Mt. Zion M. B. Church with the Rev. Edward Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Second Union Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
