Samuel E. Harris

GLEN ALLAN — Samuel E. Harris, of Rolling Fork, died April 7, 2014, at the Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital. He was 76.

Mr. Harris was a 1956 graduate of Elaine High School and 1958 graduate of Auto Diesel School in 1958.

He was a catfish farmer and was a deacon at Mayersville Baptist Church and Lake Washington Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eddie Lee Harris.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Joiner Harris; daughters Donna Perry and Julie Dorris; a brother, Edward Cleveland Harris and four granddaughters.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
