Mary Louise Grimes, a retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Heritage House in Vicksburg. She was 86.

Mrs. Grimes was a native of Leake County and a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Leake County Garden Club and Walnut Grove Quilters.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Fredia Evans.

Survivors include two daughters, Retia Hancock of Florence, Ky., and Gloria Lowery of Vicksburg; a sister, Doris Langston of Carthage; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage with Bro. Randolph Scott officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
