recovered in burglary

Two burglars are still on the lam this morning, but a cash register stolen from a Warren County gas station early Saturday has been recovered.

The cash register, which was stolen shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, was recovered Sunday, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Security footage shows two burglars entering the store at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Lee Road Saturday and running out with the cash register. When deputies arrived, they discovered the front door of the store had been broken.

Anyone with information about the break-in is encouraged to call Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 601-636-1761 or Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477. Callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of a felony suspect.
