PORT GIBSON — Gerald A. Johnson died Friday, May 2, 2014, at his home. He was 60.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Virgeon Williams-Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Fae Johnson of Port Gibson; a daughter, LaKeitha Queen of Fayette; stepson, Denzel Marbley of Port Gibson; stepdaughter, Teviecia Thomas of Port Gibson; two brothers, Richard Johnson of New Orleans, and Ronald Johnson of Lorman; six sisters, Willie Mae Douglas of Columbus, Johnnie R. Hart of New Orleans, Evelyn Frazier of Brooklyn, N.Y., Deborah F. Tenner of Natchez, Marilyn Brown of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Brenda Johnson of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Port Gibson with Pastor Darrin George officiating.  Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lorman under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be today from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
