Benjamin Franklin Wright

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Benjamin Franklin Wright, age 73, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at his home.

He was a native of Vicksburg and a resident of Rutherford County. Benjamin worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and retired as an electrician with the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

He served in the United States Navy. He was a man with the biggest heart and gentlest hands, and never met a stranger.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Ella Mae Wright, a brother, Tommy Yates, and Sharon Wright.

He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte (Jeff) Lusk of Oregon, Elizabeth (Ian) Green of Alabama, Robin Wright of Murfreesboro; sisters, Betty Warner, Georgia Cessna and Trudy Baker; two grandchildren, Jason Lowe, Jennifer Lowe, Jessica Cunningham and Colby Cunningham.

A private memorial service will be set at a later date.
