PORT GIBSON — Robert Major “Chief” Odems died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Villa at Mountain View Health Center in Dallas. He was 72.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, 1183 Rodney Road, Port Gibson, with Pastor Hugh Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery on Woodvine Road in Lorman.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, with a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m.
