LAWRENCE — Mrs. Clodell Joyce Dennis, age 93, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Lackey Convalescent Home in Forest.

Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Larry Laird officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Dennis had been a resident of Forest for the past two years, formerly living in Vicksburg and Laurel. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Lawrence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Dennis, in 2013, and one son, Arvis Dennis.

She is survived by one son, Barry Dennis of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, J.B. Jones of Lawrence; two sisters, Robbie Mercy of Albuquerque, N.M., and Martha Swancey of Robertsdale, Ala.; four grandchildren, Amanda Cross, Emily Christian, Jennifer Nesbitt and Eric Dennis; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Benny Jones, Scotty Jones, Jeff Jones, Danny Swancey, Jimmy Jolly, Randy Dennis. Honorary pallbearers will be Sidney Dennis, Donald Dennis, Willie Dennis, Billy Jolly, Lonnie Hicks, Van Jones, Larry Stevens, Robert Stevens, Ronnie Dennis, Tommy Jolly.
