Tommie Grace Fields

Tommie Grace Fields died at Heritage House Nursing Home Thursday, May 15, 2014. She was 91.
Mrs. Fields had been a resident of Heritage House for the past three years.  She was a resident of Vicksburg for over 70 years.  She was a founding member of Triumph Church, where her passion was leading the food pantry ministry.  She was an employee of Thom McCann Shoe Store until 1975.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Cox Marshall and Tommie Lee Taylor Marshall; her husband, George W. Fields; son, Phil Ray Fields; two granddaughters, Sharonda Fields, and Portland Fields; and one great-granddaughter, Lauren Clanton; brothers, Admal Marshall, J. T. Marshall, Buford Marshall, Herbert Marshall, James Marshall, and Grady Marshall; sisters, Leona Champion, Eva Tatum, and Martha Nixon.
Survivors include her three sons, Norman Wayne Fields (Joyce), Paul Lloyd Fields (Beth), and Marty Fields; daughters, Sheree Clanton, Lorraine Ghrigsby (Jim), and Becki Logue (Michael); 13 grandchildren:  Michael Fields, Kenny Fields, Paul Fields, Jr., Leland Fields, Landon Fields, Chuck Clanton, Scott Clanton, Pam Fields Jobe, Jay Ghrigsby, Dana Fields, Kelda Bailess, Dailon Huskey, and Hope Bailey; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Irvin J. Marshall (Virginia), of Beaumont, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 19, at Triumph Church, 136 Honeysuckle Lane, Vicksburg, with Pastor Mike Fields and Bishop Randy Clark officiating.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, May 18, at Glenwood Funeral Home, 145 Hwy 80.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Fields, Leland Fields, Landon Fields, Scott Clanton, Jay Ghrigsby, and Dailon Huskey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry and Betty Price, James Peck, Andrea Upchurch, Jeannie Corbin Dick, Carl and Mary Johnson, Dr. Daniel Edney, Staff of Heritage House Nursing Home, and Staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
