Tamara “Tam” Annette Washington died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 35.
Ms. Washington was a 1997 graduate of Vicksburg High School and received an associate of science degree in paralegal studies from Robert Morris University in Chicago. She was of the Baptist faith and the owner of Timeless Tax Services.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Staff Sgt. Jerlene “Muchee” Slaughter-Patterson; stepfather, Carl Patterson; paternal grandparents, Steve and Jessie Washington; and maternal grandmother, Modell Yancy Slaughter.
Survivors include her daughters, Makayla Tionna Hull and Keionna Shanice Hull both of Vicksburg; father, Steve Washington Jr. of Vicksburg; stepmother, Rena Sue Hill Washington of Vicksburg; maternal grandfather, Terry Slaughter of Vicksburg; brother, Kenneth C. Washington of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Kelley Washington, Takita Washington, Stephanie Washington, Jessie Washington and Stephanie Woods all of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including the Slaughter, Washington, Hunt, Patterson, Hull, Yancy, Davis, Turner, Moore, Little and Anderson families.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Casey D. Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2014, from 1 to 7 p.m. with a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
