Funeral services for R.D. Savannah will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Little Zion M.B. Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be Sunday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Savannah died May 19, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 91

A lifelong resident of Edwards, she was a member of the Mother Board and also served as an usher of the church. She was a retired restaurateur, having operated her own business.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Ned Savannah; her parents, Will and Bettie Daniels, and her siblings.

Survivors include one daughter, Gail Savannah of Edwards; two grandchildren, Shane Savannah of Edwards, and Jocelyn Roshelle of Mesquite, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
