A 26-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision Saturday night on Washington Street.
Krystal Foster, 26, who is a Vicksburg native but was living in Louisiana, was pronounced dead at River Region Medical Center after the crash at about midnight near the intersection of Washington and Bowman streets, Vicksburg police Chief Walter Armstrong said.
Foster was a passenger in a northbound Ford Aerostar van driven by Maurice Hall, 27, Armstrong said.
The vehicle collided with a southbound Lincoln LS driven by Dakota West, 22, who lives on Gowall Road, Armstrong said.
It was unclear which vehicle crossed into the other lane, and traffic investigators were expected to reconstruct the scene today, Armstrong said.
West was taken to University of Mississippi medical Center in Jackson where his condition was unavailable today.
Hall did not appear to be injured in the crash, Armstrong said.
