Ellawise Thomas Ross died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 72.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Izorah Thomas, and siblings, Grace Ivory, Lonnie Thomas, Jim Thomas, Warren Thomas and Dewitt Thomas.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn McGowan and Betty Chiles, both of Vicksburg; siblings, Milton Thomas, Clarence “TC” Thomas, James Thomas, Earnestine Wesley and Carrie Trammell, all of Vicksburg, and Chestine Thomas of Vallejo, Calif.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at New Mount Elem MB Church with Dr. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2014, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m.
