Maurice Andre’ “Moe” Jordan Harrison died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Houston, Texas. He was 43.

He was born Nov. 21, 1970, in Vicksburg to the late Edna E. Minor Harrison and Teola Jordan and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1989.

He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C., and was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary L. Harrison Hicks; brother, Benjamin Harrison III; and grandparents, Bernard and Rosalie Minor.

Survivors include a daughter, Jada Anderson of Vicksburg; four brothers, Alfred Minor, Edward Minor, Lawrence Minor and Gregory Harrison Sr., all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Edna E. Harrison and Angela Peterson, both of Vicksburg, and Rosa L. Harrison Garner of Washington, D.C.; and uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Tina Bryant.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Kemp Burley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 7 p.m., with a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
