Frances “Sue” Simmons

Frances “Sue” Simmons died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Born in Vicksburg, she was a graduate of Camron University in Lawton, Okla., where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Mrs. Simmons retired from the State Welcome Center in 2011 with 20 years of service. At the time of her death, she was a tour guide for the American Queen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayford and Polly Adams.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband, Randy Simmons of Vicksburg; two sons, Ray Wiley of Vicksburg and Joe Wiley of Nashville, Tenn; a sister, Patricia Tompkins of Vicksburg; a brother, Rayford Adams of Baton rouge, La; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with Father P.J. Curley, Pastor of St. Michael Catholic church, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the service.
