An air conditioner and a car stereo were missing this morning following two thefts reported Monday in Vicksburg.

At 8 a.m. an 18,000 BTU air conditioner was reported stolen from New Mount Zion Church, 516 Feld St., Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

At 5 p.m. Monday, a Pioneer car stereo valued at $200 was reported stolen from an unlocked car at Lady Luck Hotel, 13850 Warrenton Road, Williams said.

 

Man held for parole violation

A Warren County man accused of violating his parole was held without bail this morning.

James Smith, 46, who lives on Smithhart Road, was held in the Warren County jail this morning for a parole violation, according to jail records.
