TALLULAH, La. — Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Stanley Harmon Sr., age 95, of Tallulah, will be at 2:30 p.m., today, June 4, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with Bro. Jason McGuffie officiating.

Visitation will be today from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., at the church.

Burial will be Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Silver Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Harmon died Monday, June 2, 2014, at The Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. Mr. Harmon was a World War II veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah, La., a member of the American Legion Post 100, a member of the VFW., a member of The Forty & Eight Organization, and was retired from the Louisiana Levee Board.

Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert and Fay Watts Harmon, his wife, Faye Roberson Harmon, two brothers, James LaRue Harmon and Lloyd Gaines Harmon, a grandson, Thomas Stanley Thigpen, and a great-grandson, Harry Wesley Thigpen.

Survivors include a son, Thomas S. Harmon Jr., of Tallulah; three daughters, Alice Ervin (Ira Hugh) of Tallulah;  Judy Bullock (Devon) of Monroe, La., and Lena Rhynehart (Charles) of Tallulah; a brother, Charles R. “B.B.” Harmon (Penny) of Nixa, Mo.; grandchildren, Amy Harmon, PeeWee, Bill, and Sam Thigpen, Tommy Mathis, Lyndsey Ewing, Lance Bullock, Brad Rhynehart, and Brandie Cobb, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, PeeWee Thigpen, Bill Thigpen, Sam Thigpen, Tommy Mathis, Lance  Bullock, Brad Rhynehart and Patrick Cobb.
