Leadership program thankful for community support

Published 10:00 am Thursday, June 5, 2014

The Leadership Vicksburg program is presented by the Vicksburg-Warren Chamber of Commerce, and is committed to providing leaders with a deeper understanding of the critical issues affecting Vicksburg and Warren County. The program encourages graduates to take their knowledge and experience into their workplace, their community, and their home.

National EMS Week was May 18 through 24, and because of the commitment of those who have dedicated themselves to a life in the emergency response field which include police, sheriff’s officers, firefighters and EMS, we asked for sponsors and volunteers throughout the community who would be willing to participate by providing food items, monetary donations, etc. for lunch/snack baskets free to all area first responders on Tuesday May 20.

On behalf of the 2014 Team Impact Leadership Vicksburg Group, we would like to thank our partners who assisted with this year’s event. Without the help of generous supporters, our event would not have been a success!

We wanted to send out a huge thank you to all of our sponsors: Ameristar, Battlefield Discount Drugs, Christ Episcopal Church, Heavenly Ham, Home Bank, The Hot Dog Man, McAlister’s, McDonald’s, Mt. Carmel Ministries, Newk’s, the Outlets at Vicksburg, Riverwalk and Shoney’s.

Thanks also goes out to the volunteers who came out to help with the deliveries and who showed a sincere interest in thanking the men and women who do so much for Vicksburg and Warren County. Your assistance cannot be understated and we appreciate you donating your time. Volunteers include: Reverend Sam Godfrey, Ira Jones, Leah Sullivan and Krista Sciple.

We have a great team and everyone worked very hard to make this day a success. We would also like to thank our employers for allowing us to do this. We hope this event will grow each year and our First Responders will truly feel appreciated and know that we have their backs. Again, thank you for all that you do.
