Mamie E. Dorsey Burton, formerly of Vicksburg, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at her home in Atlanta. She was 94 years.

Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Burton Sr.; parents, Frank Sr. and Mary Dorsey; sister, Louise Mitchell; and brother, Charles Dorsey.

Survivors include three sons, Wilson Hank London Jr. of Hampton, Va.; Edward LaRue London of Chicago, and Dr. Otha Burton Jr. of Jackson; four daughters, Wilma Scott, Dollye Smith and Carol Burton and Wanda Kaye Hindsman, all of Atlanta; brothers, Frank Dorsey Jr. of Las Vegas, Eddie Dorsey of Silver Springs, Md., and Richard Dorsey of Atlanta; sisters, Ruth Rankins and Beatrice Eally both of Atlanta; a goddaughter; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Hoosier United Methodist Church in Atlanta.

Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Burial will be Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
